NEW YORK Vincent Legg, former svp, director of operations at Havas' Euro RSCG, has been named chief operating officer at Dentsu America.

Legg (pictured) will be responsible for business and financial operations at Dentsu's New York and Los Angeles offices, as well as Attik, an agency unit in San Francisco.

Legg is taking on the duties of retiring chief financial officer Shivakumar Prabhat, a 14-year Dentsu veteran who is becoming a consultant at parent Dentsu Holdings.

"The blue-chip experience, talent and extraordinary track record that Vincent brings to Dentsu America and its clients in the areas of technology, process and profitability will be a pillar of our continued growth," Tim Andree, CEO, Dentsu America, said in a statement. "We are thrilled to have Vincent join our team and immeasurably fortunate to have in place the strong foundation built by his predecessor, Shivakumar Prabhat."
