Twitter's Head of News Quits (After Less Than a Year)

Vivian Schiller, Twitter’s inaugural news chief, has stepped down from her role at the company after less than 12 months on the job.

Ms Schiller made her announcement – where else – on Twitter, and the news follows an ongoing reshuffle at the company which has led to the departure of several key personnel.

“Stepping down from Twitter so new global media lead @katies can reorganize as she sees fit,” she tweeted, referring to Katie Stanton, Twitter’s vice president of global media.
