Facebook marketing outfit GroSocial announced the close of a $1 million series-A funding round, led by Kickstart Seed Fund, with contributions from Monarch Partners, Rock & Hammer Ventures, and other angel investors.

GroSocial said it will use the new funding to double headcount with the goal of adding social marketing campaign automation features and integrations with additional social networking sites to its Customizer platform.

Customizer is a drag-and-drop application builder for Facebook that allows brands to create and publish contests, sweepstakes, and other promotional offers, and GroSocial launched a new widget for it earlier this month in partnership with online survey provider SurveyMonkey.

Chief Executive Officer Zach Mangum said:

We’re thrilled to have the continued support of such a solid group of investors.
