Pinterest followed up on the introduction of its Creator Code in April by giving creators ways to monetize their content on its platform.
The company said it saw product searches skyrocket by 20 times on its platform at the end of last year, and it found that Pinners are 89% more likely to exhibit shopping intent on products tagged in Idea Pins than on those not shown within the context of other surfaces.
Creators on Pinterest can now make their Idea Pins shoppable, earn commissions via affiliate links through programs such as Rakuten
