YouTube continues to roll out resources to help families in its community educate their kids during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Google-owned video site created Learn@Home, a website offering learning resources and content for families, spotlighting content on topics such as math, science, history and arts from popular learning channels including Code.org, Khan Academy and Sesame Street.
Learn@Home also features a dedicated section for families with kids under 13 containing videos that encourage kids’ creativity, curiosity, playfulness and offline activities, such as how to build a model volcano.
YouTube vice president of content partnerships, learning, social impact, family, film and television Malik Ducard said in a blog post that the site is currently available in English, with plans to add languages such as French, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish in the coming days.
Ducard also spotlighted YouTube Learning, which regularly features supplemental learning content, celebrates learning moments and shares tips.
