At CES 2016, there's been some geeky whining that there isn't enough new tech. But Sheldon Monteiro, CTO at SapientNitro, sees a real opportunity in meaningful iteration: hardware and software getting faster, smarter and cheaper and more devices talking on one another.
"Everything we saw last year has dropped in price—sometimes really significantly—and it's become more capable," he says.
As devices improve, Monteiro says marketers should watch the growing ecosystem around the connected home for new value exchanges with consumers.
