Vanity Fair iPad App Debuts
Vanity Fair released its iPad app Wednesday, with the June issue priced at $4.99, equal to the newsstand price for the Condé Nast-owned magazine, and future issues slated to cost $3.99.
The app works in both horizontal and vertical modes, and The New York Times‘ Media Decoder reports that all editorial content and ads display in horizontal mode, meaning that iPad purchases will be included in the magazine’s circulation figures.
Media Decoder added that the Vanity Fair app includes behind-the-scenes video content, such as soccer players joking around during a photo shoot for the World Cup by Annie Leibovitz and Emma Watson being made up for her photo session.
