Twitter Android, Web Users Can Now Specify Time Periods for Muted Content

The default is forever, but users on those platforms can now choose 24 hours, seven days or 30 days

Twitter users who connect to the social network via its Android application or the web (desktop or mobile) can now specify a time period for words, phrases, user names, emojis and hashtags they have muted.

A Twitter Safety tweet introduced the new features and directed users to the Advanced Muting Options on Twitter Help Center page, which provided detailed instructions on how to use the new options.
