The iPhone As DJ Tool
Disc jockeys and wannabe DJs can now entertain their friends at parties, or even strangers on the bus, with no more than an iPhone.
MixMeister, which makes software products for DJs, has come out with MixMeister Scratch, a downloadable app that lets users “perform a scratch” on top of any song in their iPhone or iPod touch.
The free software has a bunch of vinyl scratch sounds to choose from. Users just have to pick one, choose a song to play, load MixMeister Scratch while the song is playing and then start scratching.
