The Facebook Communities Summit at the company’s headquarters in Menlo Park, Calif., Thursday brought with it several updates for groups and other components of the social network.
New post-formatting tools were added for group administrators.
Group admins can now inform members when they violate the rules of the group.



Filtering by date range can now be done via the admin activity log.

Membership requests can also be sorted by name.

Facebook also said it began a pilot program to enables groups and brands to collaborate, expands its test of subscription groups to more partners and allows pages that are relevant to join groups.
