AOL board member and Gilt vice chairman Susan Lyne has been appointed CEO of AOL's brand group, the company said this morning.
As head of AOL's brand group, Lyne will be in charge of managing AOL's content side and overseeing "growth strategy, including increasing traffic across properties, maximizing partnerships with advertisers and publishers, and attracting top talent, with a particular focus on content, design, programming and product," the company said. Lyne will not oversee the Huffington Post, which will remain under Arianna Huffington's control.
