The BBC is reporting that R.E.M. principal Michael Stipe will headline a concert pushing for a pullout of U.S. troops from Iraq.
The concert, billed as “Bring ‘Em Home Now!” will take place at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on March 20th, the third anniversary of the U.S, lead invasion.
With the bane of the White House’s existence Cindy Sheehan pledging to speak at the event, we’ll be fascinated to see if MTV carries the concert, and how the cable channels like CNN and Fox News Channel cover it.
