Plastic Logic Delays Que ProReader Ship Date Again

Plastic Logic’s Que ProReader, a 10.7″ high resolution eReader aimed at the business audience, is delayed again. The product was originally supposed to come out in April and then it was supposed to ship on June 24th. The eReader is still not here.

From Wired.com, “Plastic Logic isn’t shipping the Que e-reader, though the company is officially calling it a ‘delay.’ Plastic Logic has canceled all pre-orders and is no longer offering a date as to when we can see the Que in the real world. It has also stopped taking pre-orders for the device.”

On the product page today it says, “this product is currently unavailable.” It might be that this eReader is too expensive with its $649 and $799 price tags. With $499 iPads and $189 Kindles, it is difficult to imagine how this large screen eReader will compete.

In the video embedded above, mediabistro.com’s Chris Ariens test drove the reader at CES 2010.
