Pinterest Hires Head of Brand to Market Itself to Men
Pinterest has created a new role for David Rubin, who comes to the social platform from Unilever.
Pinterest has hired David Rubin as its head of brand, a newly-created position within the company. He was previously the VP of marketing at Unilever. Rubin will oversee a team of 20, and is tasked with marketing the site to men, according to Ad Age.
“My coming [to Pinterest] is evidence that the company believes that their brand is an important asset and is looking to build that,” Rubin told Ad Age. He said he has no plans to bring in an agency.
The site is in many ways a marketer’s dream.
