Nexus One Now the Official Google Developer Phone: Will Gingerbread (Android OS 3.0) be Available for it?

The HTC G1 was the first Android phone released and was also the first developer phone. The G1 does not have an official path to the current Android OS 2.2. So, Google really needed to identify a new official developer phone. They have. And, it is a good one: The Nexus One (also built by HTC) is the new official developer phone. The unlocked model is available for $529. But, you have to sign in with developer credentials to be able to buy one.
