Facebook announced last week that it will be a sponsor of both the Democratic National Convention and Republican National Convention, Politico reported.

The social network told Politico it plans to provide “financial and other support” to both parties for their gatherings, as well as setting up its Facebook Lounge at both events, where convention-goers can monitor election-related activity on Facebook and use its live-video-streaming feature, Facebook Live.

Facebook vice president and chief privacy officer Erin Egan maintained Facebook’s neutrality in a statement shared by Politico and Mashable:

Facebook will support both the Republican and Democratic conventions in a similar manner and without endorsing any one candidate, issue or political party.
