Facebook Donates 720,000 Facemasks to Health Workers

They were on hand due to the wildfires in California last year

All of those facemasks that Facebook bought to protect its employees if the wildfires in California last year weren’t contained may come in handy, after all.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post: “Health workers urgently need more protective gear. To help, Facebook donated our emergency reserve of 720,000 masks that we had bought in case the wildfires continued. We’re also working on sourcing millions of more to donate. I hope you’re all staying healthy and safe.”
