Do People Really Want to Print from an iPad?

Mobile printing is a funny little feature. A lot of people say they want this feature for whatever mobile platform they are using. Yet, except for printing out receipts from a point of sale (POS) system, there doesn’t seem to be much of a use case. For example, there used to be 3rd party apps for Windows Mobile that let Pocket PCs print using infrared transmissions to printers with infrared receivers. I even bought a portable Canon printer that could do this.
