Left-leaning American citizens are exploring their options to the north as Donald Trump tonight seems to be closing in on an upset victory over Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.

The website for Canadian citizenship and immigration crashed after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night, as Trump was within a few states of taking the White House.

The GOP nominee has threatened deportation of immigrant groups as well as a ban on Muslims, so hundreds of thousands of people have evidently attempted to log on to the site.

It will be interesting to see whether the website is back up and running on Wednesday, after the results of the election are final.
