1 in 10 Americans Have Used an Online Dating Site or App: Pew Research
One in ten Americans (11 percent) have used an online dating site or mobile dating app, according to a new report from Pew Research Center’s Internet Project. This is up from 3 percent in 2008. In addition, 7 percent of smartphone app users have used a dating app on their phone (this which represents 3 percent of all American adults).
The report revealed that 66 percent of these online daters have gone out on a date with someone that they met on a dating site or through an app, and 23 percent of these people have even met a spouse or a long term partner on these sites.
