For Wondery’s Jen Sargent, It’s All About the Story

She advises brands to think about audio first


It’s no surprise that Jen Sargent is passionate about podcasts. She joined podcast network Wondery as chief operating officer in July 2018, ascending to the role of CEO in February, shortly after Amazon Music revealed its acquisition of the company.

“Wondery at its core has always been about telling good stories and finding stories that lend themselves to audio,” she told Adweek international editor David Griner during the “Channeling Audio’s Sonic Boom” session at Adweek’s Elevate: Publishing event.
