TikTok Joins Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking Online

TikTok joined the Coalition to End Wildlife Trafficking Online, which was established by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, Traffic and the World Wildlife Fund in 2018.

The group includes ecommerce, search and social platforms worldwide aiming to reduce online wildlife trafficking.

TikTok global policy lead, illegal activities and regulated goods Luc Adenot and global product and process lead, illegal activities and regulated goods Johan Salaï said in a blog post Tuesday that the platform’s community guidelines prohibit any content that depicts or promotes the poaching or illegal trade of wildlife, adding that since last November, TikTok has removed 85.3%
