TikTok is not a social network: Or is it?

The video creation application replaced the Discover tab in the bottom menu of its app with a new Friends Tab, which lets users see content from people they connected with on the platform.

TikTok said in a tweet revealing the change: “As we continue to celebrate community and creativity, we’re bringing a Friends Tab to more people over the coming weeks, which will allow you to easily find and enjoy content from people you’re connected with, so you can choose even more ways to be entertained on TikTok.”

Clicking on the tab will bring up content from people that users have connected with on the app.
