Snap Taps Ajit Mohan as President, Asia-Pacific Region

He comes from Meta, where he had been vice president and managing director, India

Ajit Mohan joined Snap Inc. as president of the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing its businesses in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea.

Mohan had been vice president and managing director, India at Meta, following other executive roles in the region, including founding CEO of Disney’s Hotstar.

He will join Snap’s executive team and report to chief operating officer Jerry Hunter, tasked with providing in-market leadership, leading cross-functional efforts, overseeing local operations and leading the company’s go-to-market strategy.

CEO Evan Spiegel said in a statement, “We believe that Ajit’s leadership will enable us to accelerate our growth across APAC, and we could not be more thrilled to have Ajit joining the Snap team.”
