Snap Releases Lenses, Stickers Marking International Week of the Deaf

Snapchat rolled out a suite of creative tools to mark International Week of the Deaf, including three augmented reality lenses and custom stickers aimed at encouraging Snapchatters to fingerspell.

The new features were designed with feedback and guidance from deaf and hard-of-hearing team members at Snap, driven by Snap Lab software engineer Jennica Pounds, who said in a statement, “A big motivation for me is my own oldest son, who absolutely loves to talk but has had a hard time learning ASL (American Sign Language).
