Today in our video chat series Literally Speaking, I spoke with Dr. Samir Husni, a.k.a. Mr. Magazine, a self-described “hopeless romantic” about magazines. It was fascinating hearing him describe his childhood in Lebanon, and his first discovery of a Superman magazine. Until then, at age 9, his experience with storytelling had been limited to his father telling him stories. Part of his joy in reading the magazine was that he could control the pace at which he experienced the story, and could decide where in the story he wanted to begin, unlike with dear old dad! Ever since then, he has been fascinated with the world of magazines.
