The long-awaited Edit Tweet feature finally made it to U.S. shores Thursday, but only for those shelling out $4.99 per month for subscription service Twitter Blue.

Edit Tweet was rolled out to Twitter Blue subscribers in Australia, Canada and New Zealand Monday, and the social network said all Twitter Blue subscribers in the U.S. should have access by end-of-day Thursday.

Twitter Blue subscribers can edit their tweets up to five times within 30 minutes after they go live, and a version history is available on every edited tweet.

The subscription service debuted last June with an Undo Tweet feature, which gave users a customizable timer of up to 30 seconds in the event that they had second thoughts about a reply, thread or tweet they composed, and enabled them to preview tweets before they were sent.
