Facebook users in 27 countries (including the U.S.) can power up Project Boombox, the music partnership with Spotify that CEO Mark Zuckerberg initially discussed last week.

A new miniplayer experience within Facebook will enable users to listen to full-length tracks and podcasts from the streaming platform and easily share what they are listening to with family and friends.

Facebook said the goal is to enhance community building and connections among artists, fans and writers, added that this is the latest step in a long-running partnership with Spotify.

The sharing process is similar to that for other types of content on the social network: People can select the Share menu via the three dots in the upper-right-hand corner and add a personal message to the post.
