Pinterest Adds Widget for iOS 14

It is available globally starting Monday

The image on the widget will change hourly or daily, based on preferences set by the user Pinterest

Pinners with iOS 14 on their devices can add a Pinterest widget to their home screen starting Monday.

Pinterest said searches for “indie iOS 14 homescreen” shot up 15 times the week after iOS 14 debuted, compared with the previous week, while “iPhone aesthetic” saw a jump of 19 times during the same time period.

To add the Pinterest widget, Pinners can hold an area on their home screen and tap the plus sign in the upper-left corner to select it from widgets. They can then select one of their boards on Pinterest or a board they follow on the platform.

The image on the widget will change hourly or daily, based on preferences set by the user, and they can also choose between small or large widgets. Pinterest said the midsized widget is not optimal for Pin length.

Tapping the widget will lead people directly to that Pin in the Pinterest application.

To move the widget, Pinners can hold it down and place it in the spot of their choice.
