News media company News U.K. announced the launch of its apprenticeship program this week, Sales Academy, in an effort to attract younger professionals to the advertising business and help grow their careers in the industry.

The News Corp. organization is providing a two-year training and livable wage for living in London to eight individuals chosen from those who applied. The program’s training covers areas in sales like print, digital and broadcast.

“Our Academy aims not only to improve diversity within the industry, but also to provide structured and detailed training and support in the world of sales to create strong salespeople of the future, regardless of background or experience,” said News U.K.
