Meta released two new productivity applications for its Meta Portal video calling devices.

Duet Display lets people turn their second-generation Meta Portal Plus or Portal Go into a second screen for their Mac or PC when the device is not being used on a video call.

Users can work on multiple apps simultaneously and juggle tasks without the need for a separate monitor.

Duet Display is available free-of-charge for the second-generation Meta Portal Plus in Australia, Canada, France, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S., and for the Meta Portal Go in Canada, France, Italy, Spain, the U.K. and the U.S.,

The Meta Portal Companion app for the Mac is available free-of-charge in the U.K. and the U.S. for Meta Portal touch-based devices—Meta Portal, Meta Portal Go, Meta Portal Mini and Meta Portal Plus—and it enables people to connect to their Portal device from their Mac and share their screen while on a video call, with quick access to controls to adjust volume, mute or raise their hand.

Users can send links to meeting, videos or any website, and it works with BlueJeans, Workplace From Meta and Zoom calls.
