Messenger From Facebook will begin rolling out this week to people who log into their Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2 devices using their Facebook accounts.

Oculus users can chat with their Facebook friends, even if they are not in virtual reality, and they can do so without removing their headsets.

They also have the option of creating an Oculus Party and inviting friends to play the same game together via Messenger.

Existing Oculus privacy settings are not changed by using Messenger via the devices, meaning that users can still message their Oculus friends using Oculus Chats with their existing Oculus usernames.
