After a year of pandemic lockdown, you might feel like you’ve binge-watched every piece of desirable content in the entire world.

Topic, the flagship streaming service from First Look Media, says otherwise, using a bunch of intense clips from its international thrillers to try to lure in the bored and jaded couch potatoes among us.

The hero spot, which uses fake subtitles to cheeky and charming effect, carries the tagline, “It’s criminal not to try Topic.” It’s targeted at TV fans who surely haven’t seen The Grave (an Israeli multiverse crime caper) or La Linea Invisible (Spanish historical drama) but might be interested in trying the service’s free seven-day trial.
