Will the Anti-WiFi Movement Catch On?

A Sign of the Times: Free WiFi – The Starbucks Effect?

Here’s a counterpoint item from the L.A. Times.

Coffee shops are taking Wi-Fi off the menu

The rationale is one that has come up before: Reduce the number of freeloaders who buy one cup of coffee and then take up space all day, reducing turnover, and income.

Will this anti-WiFi movement gather steam and become the norm? Perhaps. Of course, this may all be moot if reasonably priced truly unlimited 4G wireless data service becomes available.
