Wemple's Legacy?
As Erik Wemple prepares his exit from Our Nation’s Capital to take the helm of the legendary Village Voice, he does so with a bang, earning AltWeekly nominations for the Washington CityPaper in four categories from the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies.
Among papers with a circulation greater than 50,000, Washington CityPaper got honors for best feature story, music criticism, arts criticism and editorial layout. Honors go to, respectively, writers Jason Cherkis, Sarah Godfrey, Jeffry Cudlin and art director Pete Morelewicz.
