Wellington College Is Going Digital

The UK based private school Wellington College is about to remodel its library, and it has decided to use this opportunity to leap ahead a generation.

It plans to use the £2 million in redevelopment funds to replace half the stock of its library with iPads, eReaders, and digital content. It’s still going to keep half of the approximately 20 thousand books it has now, but it’s also going to 30 iPads and 30 Kindles.

Work will begin in September and the new library should open in January.
