Verizon iPhone 4 FAQ & Why I'm Waiting for the iPhone 5 Before Moving from AT&T to Verizon

If you are a current iPhone 4 user on AT&T’s network, what are you planning to do now that Verizon Wireless will have an iPhone 4 tuned for their network starting next month? If the answer is you are going switch, you should consider reading through Verizon Wireless’:

I’m planning to keep my iPhone 4 on AT&T Wireless’ network at least until the iPhone 5 emerges. Here’s why:

– Verizon states in the FAQ that they are NOT planning to offer an early upgrade promotion at this time. This means that as a current iPhone 4 owner, I would have to buy a Verizon iPhone 4 now and then the iPhone 5 at full price this summer (assuming that is when it is released). This does not sit well with me.

– Verizon Wireless LTE is currently available at my local airport and scheduled for wider rollout this year. The Verizon iPhone 4 is 3G-only. If a Verizon iPhone 5 is both LTE enabled and has a reasonable Hotspot tethering plan, it makes a lot of sense to wait for the iPhone 5.
