Twitter Troll Jailed After 'Campaign of Hated' Against Politician
A man who sent abusive messages on Twitter to a UK politician has been jailed for 18 weeks.
The City of London Magistrates’ Court heard how Peter Nunn, 33, from Bristol, England, began a “campaign of hated” last summer against Labour MP Dr Stella Creasy after she backed Caroline Criado-Perez’ petition for the inclusion of Jane Austen on the British £10 note.
Nunn retweeted “menacing” posts on Twitter that threatened to rape Dr Creasy and branded her a “witch”.
