Twitter rolled out two features that it had been testing for direct messages: filters for unwanted DM requests and a search bar for DMs.

The social network initially began testing the DM request filter in August, and it said in a tweet earlier this week that the feature is being rolled out to everyone on iOS, Android and web.

The search bar for DMs also began testing in August on iOS and the web, and Twitter tweeted earlier this week that it is now available to all iOS users. David Cohen is editor of Adweek's Social Pro Daily.
