Twitter announced Monday that its Twitter Lite slimmed-down mobile application is now available in 21 new countries, bringing the total number to more than 45 countries.
The social network also revealed that Twitter Lite now supports push notifications.
Twitter began testing the app for users with data, bandwidth and device constraints in the Philippines last September, rolling it out in 24 more countries last November.
The new countries where Twitter Lite is now available are: Argentina, Belarus, the Dominican Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Romania, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, Uruguay, Yemen and Zimbabwe.
