Top 10 Finalists Named for 'CNN Heroes'
The top 10 finalists for the annual “CNN Heroes” special were announced this morning by Anderson Cooper on “New Day,” a list that includes Arthur Bloom, a professional musician who provides music therapy to injured soldiers at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
Bloom’s organization MusiCorps, as well as those of the other nine finalists, will receive a $25,000 grant to further his cause. The 2014 Hero of the Year, to be named during a CNN special airing Sunday, December 7 at 8 pm, will receive an additional $100,000.
Voting for the competition is open through Sunday, Nov. 16.
