The King is dead; long live the King

Bob Sillerman, the former radio mogul turned show business
entrepreneur is making headlines with the news that Elvis and
Canadian performance troupe Cirque du Soleil will produce a live show
together.

Well, sort of.

The King is dead, but Sillerman owns rights to Presley’s name, likeness and music publishing, and so it didn’t take much contortion to produce a deal for a Presley-themed shows around the world.

Well, at least you won’t have to worry about Cirque du Soleil stepping on your blue suede shoes, Bob – after all, these guys walk on their hands.
