Zuckerberg and Chan donated the same amount of shares to the SVCF last year, but Facebook’s share price was far lower at the time.

The Zuckerbergs were followed on The Chronicle of Philanthropy’s list by:

  • Nike Chairman Phil Knight and his wife, Penelope.
  • Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
  • Former Franklin Resources Chairman Charles B. Johnson.
