  • Brooklyn’s own Small Girls PR signed two new clients: electronics giant Panasonic and fashion brand BB Dakota. The firm will be one of Panasonic’s AORs working on media relations, blogger/influencer relations, experiential campaigns and digital strategy for projects from the client’s New Business Development Innovation lab and its Health and Wellness team. For BB Dakota, the firm will work on media relations/strategy, collaborations with fashion influencers and collection preview events.
  • Foxwoods Resort Casino has selected Boston-based SHIFT Communications as its new AOR, citing the agency’s “creative and data-driven approach” to tapping into new audiences and aiming to deepen brand recognition as its reason for selecting SHIFT. As the largest resort casino in North America, the account includes services ranging from hotels and restaurants to theaters and golf courses.
  • DraftKings, Inc., “the leading destination for daily fantasy sports,” has named United Entertainment Group (UEG) as its AOR. UEG bills itself as a global entertainment and sports communications and marketing agency and is a joint venture with Edelman’s parent company, DJE Holdings. It’s work with DraftKings, Inc. will include strategic communications planning, media relations, partnership amplification and issues management.
  • The Tourism Division of The North Dakota Department of Commerce has chosen Fahlgren Mortine to serve as its AOR. Out of seven agencies, Fahlgren Mortine was selected due to its “knowledge of the tourism industry and the naitonal landscape.” Theodor Roosevelt National Park and the Badlands are among the state’s attractions that the agency will help promote.
  • Agency Text100 has won the business of audio and entertainment systems provider Pioneer and creative technology company iQNECT. Text100 will work with Pioneer to help drive awareness and preference for its Car Entertainment products, and has developed an integrated communications plan for iQNECT encompassing earned, social and paid media, as well as influencer identification and engagement.
  • R&R Resources+, the firm headed by former Nevada Congressman Steve Horsford, will be handling the marketing efforts for MGM National Harbor, the $1.3 billion gaming resort under development in Prince George’s County, Maryland. The project is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016. As an independently-owned Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), R&R Resources+ will is poised to drive a campaign focused on diversity marketing, corporate social responsibility and workforce strategy.
  • New York nonprofit organizations Children of Promise, NYC and the New York Society for Ethical Culture have both retained Momentum Communications Group as AOR. The agency specializes in nonprofit and education accounts. CPNYC the onlycenter in New York City that combines after-school programming, summer day camp and a mental health clinic specifically designed to serve children of imprisoned parents, while NYSEC has been around since 1876, providing a welcoming community for humanists with hundreds of programs and events each year.
