  • Precision Strategies, a Washington/New York firm founded by veterans of President Obama’s campaigns, announced a partnership with “global incubator and seed fund” 1776. Precision, which includes Obama’s 2012 Deputy Campaign Managers Stephanie Cutter and Jen O’Malley Dillon along with Digital Director Teddy Goff, will provide its data/messaging expertise to startups funded by the company named for the year our country was founded. No one tell the Tea Party.
  • New York’s NKPR signed fashion designer and former model Betina Holte as its newest client. NKPR will handle all comms and media relations for Holte, whose first collection scored a writeup in WWD last week. Gossip fans may know that Holte is married to Carlos Leon (yes, that one).
  • Momentum Communications Group will be PR AOR for The Seeds of Africa Foundation, an educated-focused NGO based in Ethopia. The firm will focus on media relations to promote the Dream School Project, created to fight poverty by building schools in under-served areas.
  • Ogilvy Government Relations unit will be D.C.-area AOR for Moneygram International, a financial services firm that recently experienced a big drop in its market share. The team representing the new client will, amazingly, be bipartisan. (O’Dwyer’s)
  • Santy of Arizona and California will conduct “social listening” for Delta Airlines. The firm, whose clients include  Peter Piper Pizza, China Mist Iced Tea and more, will evaluate active conversations surrounding the brand in order to help it refine its messages, reach the right audiences, and avoid making the sort of headlines recently inspired by its competitors.
  • King+Company added two new lifestyle clients to its roster: Luxury Retreats and Alaris Health. KCo will develop multi-media campaigns to raise awareness of both clients, the former specializing in rental properties and the latter offering “post-hospital rehabilitation and long-term specialty care” in the state of New Jersey.
