Spin the Agencies of Record

  • Haberman of Minneapolis has been chosen as AOR for Traditional Medicinals, an herbal tea-maker based in Sebastopol, California. Haberman, which will handle all brand communications, PR, media buying, social media and advertising for the company, was chosen for its familiarity with “mission-driven brands”; Brian Wachtler, president of Haberman, calls the company “an original herbal tea pioneer” (and no, before you ask, the teas do not contain that kind of herb).

  • 5WPR will perform AOR duties for JetSmarter, a service that connects users to “the largest private jet marketplace in the world”. CEO Ronn Torossian plans to help position the client as the “Uber of private jets”, which makes sense since the apps and logos look very similar (and you know they were thinking the same thing). Also: we invite everyone to take a minute to examine the SEO masterpiece that is this press release.
  • DDCWorks of Pennsylvania added six new accounts to its client portfolio. Several of these clients signed on to take advantage of the agency’s newly expanded services, which include marketing, web design and advertising. On the PR side, DDCWorks will handle media relations for Birdstep Technology, a European telecomm/tech provider that serves the “connected car” market, as well as Peirce College, a Philadelphia non-profit school focused on serving “non-traditional students.”
