Some Numbers on Nook
TechCruch puts the Nook in perspective next to the ghosts of Xmas gadgets past: “it is currently impossible to purchase a Nook right now in time for Christmas or, presumably, Easter. The Nook, for better or worse, is this year’s Wii.”
Also according to TechCruch, about 60,000 Nooks have sold this year, or so say the blog’s “Asian sources,” and that number is a lot more than Barnes & Noble “expected people to buy…the company is expecting to sell half a million Nooks in the first three months of 2010, way beyond their initial projections.”
