Say What? Manufactuers Dissing Android OS 2.x & Waiting for 3.0?

I’ve been anxiously waiting for a “good” Android-based tablet for months now. Given Apple’s success with its iPad, you would think that hardware manufacturers would be putting Android on anything that looks vaguely like a tablet to capitalize on the interest in tablet devices. AllTouchTablet says that Android-based tablets aren’t being launched because manufacturers are waiting for the next major Android OS release.

It is an interesting theory. But, it doesn’t make sense given that the few Android tablets shipping are using the ancient Android OS 1.5
