Roll Call: The IGB Group, Kia Motors, Omnicom, and More

Ryan Barr has stepped down from his dual role as co-head of the Hill & Knowlton corp comms practice and head of the financial relations practice to join The IGB Group as MD and corporate comms group leader. IGB also announced that it has promoted Michael Cimini to MD and IR practice leader. Cimini joined IGB in 2006.

Scott McKee is the new director of PR at Kia Motors America responsible for all product and corporate relations for the company, including media relations, product launches, and internal comms. He has previously held positions at Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin, and other auto companies. [via ABR]

Omnicom Group has formed a Chinese business unit, Omnicom Greater China, that will be led by Serge Dumont, who has been named vice chairman of Omnicom Group. The new unit will operate across mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan where the company has 40 agencies in 30 locations.

Vanessa Fioravante-Cuomo has been promoted to VP of Miami-based Kreps DeMaria Public Relations and Marketing. She will oversee the hospitality group, whose clients include JW Marriott Marquis Miami and Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa and play a leadership role in staff supervision, business development, and other areas of key client management.

Danielle Wiley, formerly of Edelman Digital, has launched Sway Group, which reps mommy bloggers and connects them with agencies and brands. In addition, the new firm will make sure that everyone keeps in line with FTC regulations. Wiley is also launching a sister agency, Sway Events, with former Fishbone account director Allison Talamantez that will work on partnerships with social media conferences. Boston-based Conover Tuttle Pace has hired five new employees including Tara Roman as senior project manager. Roman has a decade of PR experience including time spent at L.A.’s M1 Partnership.
