Rodale Taps Gregg Michaelson to Replace Exiting Bekkedahl

Rodale appointed a new head of group sales to replace MaryAnn Bekkedahl, who is leaving the company after 17 years to pursue digital opportunities.

Gregg Michaelson was named president of integrated marketing and sales and chief marketing officer from executive vp, consumer marketing. He will continue to lead consumer marketing while adding responsibility for print and digital sales, events, custom publishing and business/market intelligence. The company’s publishers will report to him.

The health and fitness publishing company also made a number of other organizational changes, including promoting Bill Stump to senior vp, editorial director, overseeing editorial, brand and product development for Prevention, Organic Gardening and Rodale.com. He had been vp, digital for Prevention.

Elsewhere, David Willey added the editorial director title for Bicycling while continuing as senior vp, editor in chief of Runner’s World and editorial director of Running Times.
